Not the News We Were Hoping For…
It’s late already, so I’ll make this short for now. Monica’s CT scan showed that the tumors are growing. The growth wasn’t as aggressive as we’ve seen in the past, but the tumors in the lungs and liver are bigger than they were two months ago. On top of that, there is a new growth in her spine in the lower back area. This is very disconcerting as bone metastasis tends to be the most symptomatic and painful form of cancer. We aren’t sure what the next few steps will be, but she has an appointment with her oncologist on Thursday.
We’re not giving up and are ready to keep fighting, but we were definitely devastated by the news. Thanks in advance for your continued prayers and support.
-Sol

I am so sorry to hear this news. I got the twitter message on my phone yesterday and spontaneously burst into tears! I can only imagine how disheartening and frustrating this news must be. I know you all have immense strength and that you will get through this.
I hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Love,
Wendi

I know today’s a big day at the docs and I wanted to send a little love your way and tell you I’m praying for the doctor to have just the right inspiration for what will help, for the tumors to start shrinking and for all of you to feel peace of mind with your options moving forward.

I’ve been reading your blog but just started following you on Twitter – I love the immediate updates. I am encouraged by what your doctor told you today, as I am sure you are. This must be an emotional roller-coaster for you.
Know you are loved. — Blou
