Dear Sol,

My heart aches for you. Reading your e-mail brings back a flood of memories when I've dealt with loss. There are no words anyone can say that will take your pain away, nor you loneliness and uncertainty. All I can say to encourage you is one word...TIME; although, I know that doesn't make anything better for now. Allow yourself to grieve. Have no expectations and be gentle with yourself. Sol, I saw the number of friends you and Monica have. Your church was full of them. Use them, they will help! All of us will continue to pray for your healing and for Kai's. Sending a huge hug your way, and lots of prayers.

Sol,
Thank you so much for sharing the amazing slide show of Monica for us who were not able to make it to the memorial. It was so powerful to watch. She was such a strong, beautiful, and passionate person and it shows in all the pictures of her. Her smile and joy for life was so evident and something for all of us to strive for. My thoughts and prayers have been with you during this time. My heart is heavy for what you and Kai are going through and I will continue to keep you in my prayers. My God bless you abundantly and give you comfort beyond measure!
Much love,
Stacy

Sol,
First of all I would like to share my deepest sympathy for you and your family during this difficult loss. Monica was a beautiful and special person. I did not know her for that long but in the short amount of time getting to know her at Dexter she touched my heart. She had a very special way about her and made you feel as though you had known her for years. I went to the memorial service which was so beautifully done and an amazing tribute to Monica. May god bless you and Kai.
With Warm Regards,
Alisa

Sol,

I read the Daily News article about your precious Monica. It made me so sad. I remember when you two came into the Bookstore, and how happy you were. Just last week I said to Linda I wonder whatever happened to Sol, and if you had a family. What a cutie Kai is. Were no longer at Whittier College, but have a bookstore across from Rio Hondo College, beside a pretty church stop by sometime, we'd love to see you.

Dear Sol,

My heart aches with you in the loss of your Monica. I understand a little of your last 18 months as my son Mike lost his wife, Barbara, just 6 weeks ago to breast and then brain cancer. She was 33 and leaves a grieving husband and three little children, ages 2,4,6.

Susan Holman is my teaching buddy and church friend and she has kept me informed through the last months about Monica. I am so sorry--so very sorry. It shouldn't happen--yet it does.

Please know others share your grief and will be praying for you.

Hey there.. I dont even know you, but your names and website have come up on facebook among my friends. So Ive visited your website a couple of different times. I am so sorry for your loss (here on earth) though we know its only until we're all on the otherside of this life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have young children as well and can only imagine the task before you. Yet, God is not surprised by these unfolding circumstances and surely is upholding you in His righteous right hand. Blessings to you.
