Dear Monica,
My heart goes out to you, my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. That sounds so basic, but I have been praying for you and your family since hearing your news (only MOnday). I have to say, I was strengthened by your blog, "God works everything out. . .". You are such a strong person, Monica, and already that shows. God has given you this strength, and I pray that he will continue to give you HIS strength each day. I pray God will cover you with His peace and complete healing. We love you Monica!!

Love, Mel

I just want to tell you, along with what seems like hundreds of others I am keeping you in my daily prayers. It is so amazing how your story is touching others. Stay strong and don’t be afraid to lean on your friends.

Hi! I'm Jennifer's cousin, so I guess that makes me your second cousin. I hope this week goes well for you, and that you find all the strength you need.

I'll send prayers and good thoughts your way...

We just received the news. Wow. What words can I offer? Faith. Courage. Hope. Grace. Providence. Love. Strength. Mercy. Joy. Friendship. Family. Just a few of the things God has provided to you and to me and things I pray he will continue to supply to you in abundance. My family and I are praying for you and your family. Thank God you know Him and His ”peace that surpasses all understanding.” Phillipian 4:6-7. I almost trivialize these words at times. But this is a command. Worry about nothing? How is that possible? With God all things are possible. From you experiencing this trial with peace in your heart to your passing through this trial completely healed. Nothing is too great for our God, as you so well know.

God bless you and your family!

You are in my thoughts and prayers each day. I wish you well; I wear my breast cancer angel pin in your honor each day. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Lots of Love,

Hi there,
I’m typing a page from the Devotional book ”Joy for the Journey”
Promises about asking hard questions; Heb. 4:15-16,
Jer. 29:11-13, Prov. 19:8
”In reading the book of Job…I am comforted that Job could not simply settle for the long accepted religious answers when they did not make sense with his experience. When the atrocities of his physical condition worsened and the taunting of his comforters seemed never ending, he chose to take both his experience and his questions and argue them before God. Even in the midst of his pain and confusion and despair, even under the silence of heaven, Job never trifled with the hopelessness of shutting God out. For whatsoever he did not understand about what was happening to him and why God had let it happen, he still trusted God enough to say , ”Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him”(Job 13:15). Excerpt from Verdell Davis’ book, Riches Stored In Secret Places.
This is also mostly for me when I heard of your cancer and the immediate question is ”why her”. My heart aches for you and I too need to put my trust in Him as I pray for you.

Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
