God Bless you, Monica, during this storm. This storm may be powerful, but our Lord is MORE powerful!
I will be in cancer remission three years November 29. He sustained me during my storm. He will be faithful to you--- He promised!
The church office staff is praying for you and yours!
Blessings,
Valerie

From your incredibly nerdy cousin...

I post at a Star Wars forum and made a topic about your situation. The community has responded very positively. While not all of the people there are religious, all of them wish you and your family well. And the ones that are religious, are praying for you.

Here are some of their messages:

" Both my Mum and my Dad have had cancer, and both beat it. My Mum was diagnosed with colon cancer 18 years ago, and was told she only had a 25% chance of surviving. But she did, and is still happily in remission today, alive and well.

Also, one of my best friends' sisters was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer recently...and she beat it too.

So don't give up hope. And if my experience with my mother is any guide at all, my only advice would be to stay as positive as you possibly can."

"I'm sending a prayer for your cousin. I can't imagine being pregnant at the same time. Keep her spirits up and support her. Just a note of encouragement. I am a breast cancer survior since 03 and doing great. There are so many things they can do now that they couldn't just ten years ago and it's going to get better. My good friend also had an agressive breast cancer and she is also doing well after chemo. My biggest advice is to tell her to exercise though all this and to eat a healthy diet. It really helps you handle everything and keeps your immune system up to help fight it. It helped me tremendously."

"My grandmother had cancer when she was pregnant with my father. She had chemotherapy.
My father turned out alright"

"I'll tell you this much, and this from someone that works in the medical profession, don't ever let what a doctor tells you make you or anyone you love give up.

If my mother's doctor's predictions about her life expectancy had been accurate, she'd have died at least three or four times by now, and on top of that she'd have been dead months ago. I truly believe that the human spirit can be a factor when it comes to healing. Just communicate to your cousin not to accept all diagnosis, and to stay as positive as she possibly can."

Dear Monica,

Although we have only met a few brief times, I thank god that I have had the opportunity to meet you. Sol has been a wonderful friend, and when he moved away, then later we heard the great news that he had found his soulmate, I was really excited and pleased to meet you- a wonderful gorgeous woman to keep him grounded and filled with joy. That is my impression of you! I was thanking god that he had found you. NOW…I am thanking god that you have found him! Hold on and stay strong, Monica! You WILL survive this…you have an amazing family who I know will do everything possible to keep you above water and help you stay strong as you ride the current of the storm! Sol is probably building you a ship right now to carry you! (I love speaking in metaphor..lol) I love you all, and my prayers are with you constantly. I look forward to the celebration of your healing!
My heart is with you…just think about your beautiful son and wonderful husband constantly…and that should keep you smiling and charge you with all the strength you need to get through the proccess of treatments and healing that lies ahead.
Peace~ Love~ Hope~

Monica and Sol:

I was just thinking about you guys and wanted to drop you an line and send love from all of us. I am praying for you and wishing the best for you.

I hope your visit with your sisters is all that you need it to be. As always if there is anything we can do please just say the word.

Anyways words always fall short of how you truly feel, so just know that we love you all.

Monica,
I cannot grasp the entirety of the emotions that you are going through right now. My heart breaks for you, as I am sure that all of the "kind words" I can throw your way will not touch the depths of your soul. But I do know that God fills your heart, and that He will continue to uphold you. You are such a strong and beautiful woman, a wonderful mother, a loving wife, and a STRONG CHRISTIAN. Jesus loves you, He protects you, and the Holy Spirit will comfort you. The name of Jesus is powerful, and I will pray in His name to the Father for your peace of mind and for healing. We love you - even way over here on the East Coast.
