Dear Monica,

My heart is broken and my tears continue to fall as I write this because I love you very much. You are the daughter I never had. As I’ve seen you mature as a wife and mother, I can see that God has been good to you and blessed you immensely.

Every day is a day of choices, so choose to put your life in the hands of the Lord. Tell Him, ‘I trust you God, because I know You are good – my time and life are in Your hands’. Be willing to release every area of your life to your Heavenly Father. And be willing to trust Him with the times and seasons of your life.

No matter what this day brings, no matter how trapped or exhausted you may feel – you must keep looking for God’s good and trusting that His plan may be unfolding right before your eyes. He is using your heart wrenching circumstances to mold you and draw you closer to His side. He is using your testimony of faith to encourage others to love Him more. You must believe that, even in the middle of your pain. Remember, God is in charge and you are right where He wants you. Keep standing, keep believing, keep loving, and keep trusting Him.

The one thing I have now learned about cancer is that it makes your awareness crystal clear of how God has already and always been at work in every detail of our lives. Cancer, or any major illness, gives others opportunity to love. And since love is God’s highest purpose in us, we will all learn His finest and most joyous lessons as we find small ways to express concern and love for others. Your “Encouragement Guest Book” is a wonderful testament to this.

There is nothing left for you to do except to be loved by God and others. May God’s love and glory shine through you, Sol and Kai.

I love you,
Oralia

(Give Sol and Kai a big hig and kiss for me, and Frank too!!)

So good you and your family had a good time! Love the pictures of the pumpkin patch. Would you be up for some more company in about 2 weeks? We are planning on going to Santa Barbara for our anniversary. Maybe we can make a short trip out to see you, or maybe on Vetren's Day. I have the day off, and if your up for it, maybe we could make a day trip out of it. Whichever works for YOU :)
Praise the Lord on your bone scan! Love getting the updates on my phone!

Monica, you are in my prayers. I think it is awesome that you are able to see the LORD's grace throughtout this testing time and feel the Holy Spirit as well. I feel with all my heart that the Lord wouldn't allow you to endure anything that you and your family can not handle...I do feel sadness for the human part of this, however, I feel joy for the faith that you continue to have in the Lord and the strength that He gives to you and your family. God bless you always. Iz

Dear Monica,

We love you very much and just want you and sol to know that we are standing with you in this. Scott and I are reading this book call "To Busy Not To Pray" in our small group at church.... in the book it talks about coming along side people who need help praying. It talks about helping that person hold up their arms to God. Our whole church and others in the area are here to help hold up your arms when you get tired. You are in are constant prayers. I am so glad to see that you have a wonderful support group down there. You are amazing and just remember that this is the time when God is carrying you. keep us updated so we know how to be praying each day. Love you cuz.

Hey Mon,

Just wanted to say hi, and that I'm so glad you and Sol set up this website. It's good to hear your updates, and helps to keep you at the forefront of my brain, and thus my prayer life. I continue to lift you up, that God would hear our cries to Him, and heal you. May He continue to give you that peace that passes all understanding, and joy as you have family visiting you. How was the pumpkin patch today? We still need to go. It was raining yesterday, and today we had my cousin's little boy's first birthday party. It was a lot of fun. It should be a nice week, so maybe we'll get there soon! Good luck with your first treatment this week. May God be your strength and comfort!

Love to you!
Alli

You are all so amazing. Thank you so much! You really have shown God's love to me in a major way. The Lord is really touching my life (and my family's) through your hearts and your prayers. When I can't find the words to pray, I know that others are praying for me! You are all so needed and more than appreciated. Thank you!

Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
