No doubt everyone who's watching your life right now is wondering on some level how they would respond in such a situation. And no doubt we all hope that our response might resemble yours.

Your light shines brighter and brighter! To God be the glory, he is doing great things- through you!

Love and a hug,

Dear Monica,
Actually you look very beautiful with a bald head. I'm sure it is quite a shock and feels very weird, but WOW, you did it !!!
Our friend Catherine at Shining Star Preschool is in the "growing it all back" stage and she is so cute and spunky that we all don't even notice it anymore. She took of her wig at a staff meeting unveiling the new look !! She was worried about the children in her class, but they were very "matter of fact" about it. You will be the same way very soon. Hang in there !! We are still praying !!!
Love, The Larios Family

Hi Monica,
We just read about Sol shaving your head and saw the picture. We think bald suits you. You look so cute, you don't need any hats and scarves, but we're glad you have them, I'm sure it'll be fun picking which ones you wear. We love you and we'd love to come over for a game night some time. Friday nights are best for us, after I (Meg) get off work, Bill is off all day. Just let us know what week is good for you. We'll bring over desert.

Hi Monica,
I have been thinking about you. I can see by moving around your website that you have a lot of people who love you. That is wonderful and sustaining! Yeah for you!
I too think you look beautiful bald!
Don’t be surprised if your head starts to hurt. My head hurt right about the time my doc said it would all fall out. It was the kind of hurt you get when you wear your long hair in a bun for too long, you know? It only lasted a few days but it was annoying.
And the bone pain, I am sorry. I did not experience that, but a friend did with taxotere.
When you mentioned Tylenol PM… I believe it is our right and a smart thing to have a sleeping pill for this time. I used Restoril. I NEVER used sleeping pills before. But that year I did, and thank goodness for them. Your body needs rest more than anything. If you haven’t asked for them, consider it.
I am praying for you- and sending lots of good healing wishes your way.
Can I get your email? Then I can send you my update/log that I wrote…

Hi Sol, Monica, Kai
I was just thinking about you, so I said a little prayer for you guys. I pray that your holiday weekend goes well and without any more bone pain. Sleep is what’s on the immediate prayer requests for all of you…I suppose if Kai gets his sleeping habits in check then yours will fall into place. God will definitely hear these requests for rest, for even He rested…and it was good!! I love you all and will see you sometime soon. Rub Monica’s head for me and tickle Kai!!

Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
