Hi Sol and Monica:
I stumbled across your web site and boy was I in shock to see all of the changes you have endured...and are enduring. I will keep you in my prayers as you face each challenge, not only with cancer, but with still holding onto your other roles as wife and mother. Reading your story is so encouraging and convicting....encouraging at the way you seem to be holding up and convicting in the way I should be handling things!!
Thank you for sharing and giving those of us who only remember you and Sol from the good ol' days at the Well.
Love to you and yours,
Tamera

By the way, I am so glad you've been approved to see the sarcoma specialist. You are getting the best care now, which is a really good thing with sarcoma! It must be overwhelming to be thinking of more chemo when you thought you were finished with everything. Monica, your spirit definitely comes through on these pages, and I know you will do whatever you need to do to stay in this race. So hang in there! The wig looks great. :-) Do you end up wearing it a lot? A bunch of the young adults I've met end up wearing bandannas or going beautifully bald most of the time. :)

Hello from a fellow sarcoma survivor! Isn't it fun being so rare? :-P I'm happy to hear you precious family is doing well. It's been four years for me, and still I feel like I can't go for more than a couple months without seeing a doctor about something. :-) My new year's resolution was to not see so many doctors! LOL Then I managed to have a completely different medical issue that required...four visits and a surgery. So here's a hint, don't make that resolution - it will backfire on you!

Hi Monica and Sol,

Thanks again for your updates. Its so good to be able to follow along and keep you in our thoughts and prayers. You are so funny! I can just imagine your reaction when you read that word "slender". Your laugh and smile would be so contagious.

The guys in my small Bible study group ask about you so I know that they are praying also.

Jesus loves me (and you) this I know because ...He showed it on the cross and His Spirit makes is real to us.

Grace and peace to you
Bruce & Virgie

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that you are constantly in my thoughts and nightly prayers. I have a sister-in-law who graduated from Stanford Medical School Summa cum laude and is currently practicing integrated medicine for cancer patients in Idaho with some doctors from France. It is not approved currently by the AMA but I can send you a link if you would like, and maybe you could talk to the specialist about it and see what he thinks! Love you, Cindy

Hi, Sol and Monica - I saw your introduction on the Sarcoma Alliance mailing list. Congratulations on getting authorization to a specialist at Cedars - God is truly watching out for you. My husband and I just returned from his weekly visit to his oncologist - he was diagnosed with angiosarcoma n 2006. Maybe you have the same doctor. Feel free to contact us with any questions, as we have been where you are now.

Mon,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been sharing your story with my small group Bible Study and we have been praying for your healing. We meet every monday night and starting tonight we are going to pray for your healing each time we meet. I know you have TONS of other people praying the same thing, just know that there are 8 more people in a Bible Study in Paradise that KNOW that God still heals and are praying to that end! :) We love you!

Cindy
PS- I saw Kai at church Sunday when your parents were checking him into the nursery. He was all smiles and is SO precious! :)

I am SO HAPPY to hear that the authorization went through, Monica! Praise the Lord in deed! I hope you had the best Easter possible in this current situation. I was thinking about you and praying for you this weekend. Hang in there, Lady! You're one tough cookie! Don't ever doubt it.

Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
