I just started crying when I read about Linda (though I think I was already emotional after reading about your fears this morning)! What a God-send. One of the most important things to do when you're walking through a tough time is to find someone who has walked the road ahead of you. Praise God to find Linda who has done just that. What an encouraging story she has too! You're right...this sounds to be the beginning of the end. I can't imagine anything being tougher than what you've already accomplished. I mean think about it Monica...think about what you've been through and how far you've come. I'm just sitting here crying to think of what your precious body, soul and mind have gone through. Praise God that He has protected you on every side. II Cor. 4:8-9 says, "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed." This is you Monica, by God's grace and mercy, you will not be crushed or forsaken. God has his hand on your life.

Tell me more about the monkey socks!

Love, Keri

Hi Monica & Sol,

Just wanted to let you know that we continue to pray for you. Be encouraged that He knows every detail, even when a bird falls, and we are so much more important to Him. We even have the right to call Him, Abba, Daddy.

Hi! I have asked Rachel frequently how you are doing. My prayers go out for you often.

I don't know what your feelings are on health and nutrition as a method for healing, nor do I know how you feel about alternative medicines. God has given us a wonderful tool in that our bodies can and will heal themselves in most cases if taken care of properly. That is a person's best line of defense. All of this is to say "I care" and personally believe that a person sometimes has to look into what is best for them. Doctors are a great blessing and can be a wonderful source, but there is so much information available that there is no way, try as they might, for them to know it all. One has to sometimes do research for themselves. Some information I have recently received comes from a well known naturopath, Dr. Mark Stengler. He recommends and claims to have had good success with an herb called astragulus. This herb contains interferon, a chemical known to fight cancer cells. Per Dr. Stengler, this herb also helps in managing the effects of chemo on the body. Because most doctors are trained in drug treatment and therapy, they don't know about or are unaware of the beneficial effects of natural remedies.

I am sure many well meaning people have offered tons of suggestions to you. Now I've added my name to the list This may be the only one I offer, and I will not be upset if you don't follow up on it, but I would ask that you at least research it and see if it might be something that would help you on your way to healing. And, if you do think this might be something you want to look into, talk to your doctor about it. He may not be aware of this herb and its benefits, but then again he might be and can even make other recommendations on what can help.

Whatever else, know that you are often in my thoughts and prayers. God's blessings be on you both.

Hi, guys! Just wanted to let you know that I'll be praying for you tomorrow, especially for calmness and peace. These appointments must about be your whole life--or at least they must seem like it! I'm so glad you've got Kai back-bet that was awesome seeing him again. Hang in there! Will also be praying for the doctor's wisdom--and for complete healing for you! Sol, you're such a trooper--we're praying for you, too, and of course, for Kai. God bless all of you! Linda

Hey Monica-
Just a quick one, to let you know that you are always on my mind and in my prayers.
I think you are very brave and strong- keep that chin up. You can do this, too.
I am reading a great book that you may enjoy, it is called "It's Not About the Hair"-look it up on Powells.com and read the reviews, I really am getting a lot of food for thought.
Have a great Monday, and may the specialist appt on Tuesday be everything good.
love
Cathy
