Monica, just a note let you know that you are in my prayers. Had the privilege of meeting Sol at the mens retreat in Big Bear the weekend of Oct 10-12th. I dont have to tell you what an amazing guy you have because I'm sure you already know that, but please know this, he touched me and I am so happy and greatful that I got to know him and spend time with him. I look forward to spending more time with himand meeting you and Kai soon. Love and God Bless to the 3 of you! Vinny

Well Monica, I guess today is the one year anniversary of your cancer diagnosis. I can’t believe it’s already been a year. So much has gone on yet at the same time so little. What I can say about the last year is that no matter what this feels like to you, I believe it’s been a gift from God. You see, you and Sol both have allowed God to use you to touch so many lives around you. I’ve seen your amazing strength even at your weakest and most painful moments. This has not been an easy journey for anyone who loves you, but you have inspired us and have let us see what true surrender and hope in our Heavenly Father looks like. There are few people who can handle a situation such as yours. This is not easy at all but God will definitely ease your burden if you let Him. I’ve also seen you both grow in your faith and your willingness to ask and accept help from so many. God created us all to be there for each other. There will come a time when you and Sol and even Kai will be on the other side in helping others in their time of need.

This last year has definitely been the worst of times and thank God, the best of times. There is nothing that brings you closer to God than a heart wrenching trial such as this. That’s what makes it the best of times. It forces you to come face to face with the only one who can carry you and give you peace and comfort in His loving arms.

Please remember that you are loved by so many. I feel that Sol and our family have been blessed when God brought you two together. It’s not easy for a mother to admit that, but it’s true. My son is fortunate and very blessed to have you as his wife. Thanks for being such a good, wife, mommy, daughter, sister, and most of all, daughter in law. Feel good for there are many praying for you.

You are loved,

Hey there,

Hope you get to feeling better and to getting some good sleep in. At least it isn't all three of you up at night, if that's any consolation.

Just wanted to know that you are thought of, even though we are 1/2 way around the world. May He sustain you as you wait for news in the next 24 hours!

Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
