I saw this quote yesterday and immediately thought of Monica and how fully she lived her life.
"Remember that life is not measured by how many breaths you take ~ but by the moments that take your breath away!"
My continually prayers for your family, Patty Hylton

Sol~
I've only learned of Monicas' fight this evening, coming here from "His Will Wednesday" on April Roses' blog. I am so sorry. But, in reading about Monica, it is so clear to me that she is in the arms of her (our) Lord and Savior and for you having that comfort ,I am so grateful. I know Kai will desire to know and remember his Mama, and I'm so happy that you have this blog, and your previous website to document her life with him.
May God comfort you, may you be surrounded by many who loved Monica and love your family, and may you feel His love in the coming days more than ever.

Hey Sol,

I don't know what to say but I just want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Sol,
We have never met. I have been a friend of Monica's since high school. We went to the same church, and she was a year behind me in school. I most recently saw her at my cousin Hillary's wedding in November.

I just wanted to let you know that I have been following her progress via the emails from this site plus my parents have been keeping us updated. They are good friends with Monica's parents. My wife and I have been praying for you guys since the beginning and more so in the last couple of months. We are so sorry for your loss. It was Monica's gain as she is now out of pain and completely healed in her new heavenly body.

I know God will give you the right words and timing to talk to your son, Kai. I can only imagine the difficulty of the task you have ahead of you to talk to him and then having to raise him on your own. I'm sure you have a great support system, but it will still be difficult and not the same. We have three children (9, 5, 2).

You are still in our prayers. Lean on Him. He's there whenever you need Him. Remember, crying is okay and necessary. You need to allow your heart to heal.

God bless you! With deepest sympathy,

Paul & Alicia Blumert

I just read the news that Monica is free from pain and dancing on streets of Gold right now. While I am joyful for her I can only imagine your pain. I just wanted to share how powerful your testimony has been as I have been getting to know Monica's struggles by reading your postings over the last week or so. One thing that I have seen several of my preschoolers do to send their love to heaven is to draw pictures, send photos and dictations to Heaven by attacing them to a helium ballon and watching them go up towards Heaven...thought this might help him share his feelings with Mommy in a tangible way that is on his level. I will be praying for you - what a lucky little boy he is to have such a loving and strong daddy!

Prayers always,
Lori and family

Hi Sol,
I know that you don't know me, but I attend WACC and help in the Creepers. No words can begin to address the journey for you now as Monica's journey takes her "home" to heaven. I have been following and praying for you and your family from first seeing Kai in Creepers. My prayers will continue on Sol.
