Sol and Kai-

My deepest sympathy to you both. You have a jewel of a family and I am so sorry to hear that your love has passed. What strength she had, and what a wonderful mother Kai has. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Sol,

The memorial service for Monica last night was beautiful! Every picture of her was stunning. On our way home last night, I said to Penny and Jill, "That girl never took a bad picture in her life." Sol, I was deeply touched, as were many, about the story of when you fell in love with Monica! Thank you for sharing. When you worked in Mendota, you and I had many conversations in the computer lab. I knew your purpose for leaving the band, and why you were in Mendota. Helen Lozano shared a story with me about a time you were fixing her computer. She asked you why you were in Mendota and you replied,"God brought me". We know the reason...Monica. I grieve for her short life. I grieve for your loss and the loss for Kai. It was so nice to share in the tribute of Monica's life and to hug you and tell you I care! I hope you will continue to use the website, as many of us have felt such a connection to you and Monica because of it. I will think of you and continue to pray for you and your son. Of course, I will continue to think about Moinca! Sending love your way...Gloria

What a blessing Monica was and is and will continue to be. The service tonight was beautiful and I hope that she was able to see how everyone honored her life here. You did amazing up there tonight telling your love story. Letting everyone know just how wonderful and devoted Mon was to living her life for Jesus. We know that you have a really hard time ahead of you and we are here for you. As I said before, call anytime day or night. Craig is hurting for you so much too and wants to help anyway he can. Call anytime!

We hope to see you next week. Our hearts are with you.

Love to you,

Heidi and Craig

I just want to tell you again how much Monica's memorial touched me. I haven't been so spiritually full since before college. All the love and faith in the room was extremely evident. It permeated me; and has made me want to be a better man. You have always been blessed. Your faith too gives me strength. I feel like I've strayed so far from who I am, and who I'm meant to be... I cried the whole way home. Thank you and thank Monica for letting your lights shine so bright. Little Kai will uncertainly be loved and cared for by everyone who's life was touched by Monica. I know you won't be alone in raising him.

I look forward to hanging out with you again sometime. Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything at all.

Much love,
David Gerber

Sol, we couldn't leave Fresno this weekend, but you and Kai have been in our thoughts and prayers. I hope the peace of God that surpasses all understanding was with you tonight as you said "goodbye" and honored your precious Monica.
In His Love,
Craig and Lisa

Dear Rodriguez Family,

You don't know me, but know Blanca Rabelo who is my sister in low and she also was Kai's teacher in the afternoon. My son goes to Dexter and although we were not close to Mrs. Rodriguez, we feel for all our teachers as family.

I'm sure that Monica is and will be an example to follow to all the persons that she touched.

God Bless

Dear Sol, Little man Kai and Family,
Eventhough you don't know us we feel we know you and your little boy, we have been fighting this evil disease in prayer with you all.
Our Lord and Saviour is who died for all diseases and sin and somehow in His infinite wisdom and power has cosen to call your beloved Monica home. He promised us that He would go and prepare a place for us, his children - now Monica has gone there too and will be waiting with outstretched arms for your arrival. The Lord also promised to send His Holy Spirit to comfort us in this world. Our prayer is that He would now send His Holy Spirit as promised to come down and anoint you all and fill your hearts with peace this time of loss and bereavedment. Lawrence and I would continue to call your names before the Throne of God for strength and wisdom to face every new day with all its challenges.
With heartfelt condolences to you and the family in this time of great loss.
In Christ,
Lawrence & Anna Marais, Visalia, Ca. (Friends of Bethany & Patty Hilton)
