Sol,

Your posts aren't cheesy or melodramatic. Thank you for sharing where you're at in your healing. We will be praying for God to meet you each painful step of the way and that joy would return to you. Kai has grown so much and looks a lot like Monica. Isabella and Isaac still talk about Monica. One day I heard this conversation in the back of the car. Bella said to Isaac, "Monica died." Isaac says, "I know, where did she go?" At which point I entered the conversation and told them that although her body died, her soul, all the wonderful things we all loved about Monica, went to be with Jesus in Heaven. Then Bella asked, "But how did she get there?" I didn't have an answer to that and I told her I didn't. She was quiet for a minute or two and then, she said quite assuredly, "I know! Jesus came down and got her."

Hi Sol,

Thanks for sharing. It is so good to hear from you and to hear about Kai. Never be reluctant to post or feel that what you have to say is a downer. It is always good to hear and then I know what kind of prayer to send up for you and Kai. Keep posting. We want to keep in touch and this is really the only way. Also I think that posting here is probably a part of the healing.

We love you brother.

In my men's Bible study today we just finished Romans ch 8. (Jesus)...is making intercession for us.....nothing can separate us from the God's love in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sol,

I hadn't logged on to this site for a long time. I am sorry to know the pain is still so deep, but it tells me how deeply you loved Monica. I think about you often and Monica too. I pray this year will bring you some happiness, much needed healing, and the opportunity to enjoy the things and people you cherish. love, gloria

Wow, what a very honest post. I always admire your courage to keep searching for ways to heal. I think writing post on here is a good tool to one of those steps of healing. I do not think there is ever a "proper time line" as to when the healing should be "done". You were such a great family trio, I can only imaging how hard it is to consider that your family duo is still a wonderful family unit. I thank you for your continued post because they are always an eye opener that the healing of pain is a constant journey. Kai's incredible insight is just proof of how much love you give him on top of the already wonderful foundation he started with.
Keep up the fantastic journey you darling duo. My prayers are with you always.

Dear Sol and Kai,
It was so nice to bump into you at the market the other night! You were truly a sight for sore eyes. And to think, I almost decided not to go...
Please know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. It was wonderful to see you, even if only for a few minutes. Hang in there!
Love you,
Lark

    Sol,
Our hearts are saddened by Monica’s passing. It’s difficult times like these I just don’t know what to say,
other than Peggy and I will continue to pray for you and your family.

    Love,
