Bone Pain

Today was pretty rough! Things have been fine until last night. I woke up every hour and didn’t get much sleep. As a result, I was pretty tired today, but about 10:00 am I started having bone pain. They said it was a side effect of the chemo, but I didn’t expect anything new to hit me 6 days after chemo. I have never had this sort of pain before. It is really quite painful. It feels like I am being squished. It is mainly affecting my lower back and hips. My mother-in-law is here, and if you know her at all, you know she gives great massages. She gave me a massage which helped a lot. I plan on taking an over-the-counter sleep aid (Tylenol PM) tonight; hopefully it will help with both issues. Please pray that this pain goes away quickly and that I can sleep.

    Sounds awful! I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. I focused on sending healing your way in my prayers/meditation this morning. I know I’m not the only one – I hope all that love reaches you soon and you’ll be feeling better.

    Hi Monica,
    You proabably don’t remember me…but I went to Simpson when you were there, and heard about your cancer through Cheryl Johnson. Anyway, I wanted to let you know I am praying for you!

    Hey Monica,

    I know what’s it’s like to have bone pain, so I can truly empathize with you here. At least on this one level. Hang in there. Just think how short 16 weeks are in the span of a lifetime.

    Hello Monica,

    I am Tom Hanson from Sol’s Top Gun Bible Study. I NEVER forget to pray for you every day in a quiet room where the Lord will hear my prayers about you. I have prayed that God will heal you without a surgeon touching you. Sol told me the tumor size has reduced so I know that is a good sign.

    I have chronic pain and have a morphine pump implanted so I know about your bone pain and nerve pain also.

    I am clicking on the band and hope I can do it many times to get the count up. Can I do it as many times as I wish?

    Please hang in there.

    Love in Christ, Tom (tomncomputer@roadrunner.com)

    Dear Monica,

    I wish to pray something we learned in bible study for you. I know your pain and inability to sleep with Kai is very hard on you so Lord, hear me: Philippians 4:6-7

    Do Not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
    =============
    In the name of Jesus and by the power of Your Holy Spirit, please guard Monica’s life, Amen

    Your friend, Tom Hanson
